Casual section

Postby xRONy » Thu Jul 01, 2010 5:14 pm

Please could we have a casual section on the forums. I think there's enough non-hardcore players posting non-tournament decks to warrant it.

No offence intended to the non-hardcore :D

I must admit i was thinking the same thing. It would also encourage replies to consider budgets
and non hardcore suggestions.

However, i hope that would not mean that the experienced players
don't look at that section. Offering the odd suggestion when they have time is invaluable.

@Administrators - appologies for the possible work. All apprecaited.

I must confess my deck lists would probably belong in the casual section :-p

Nothing wrong with that, some of mine do to.
Casual decks can be more fun than the streamlined killer decks, and offer a way to improve
your game without spending so much.

I'm not keen. Where do you draw the line? Who decides what is casual and what isn't? I would feel aggrieved if my deck list got moved from competitive to casual. I think there has been a lot of movement in these forums recently but that will die down.
Cheers

@Glen - "I would feel aggrieved if my deck list got moved from competitive to casual."

Too macho by far, sir. :o

Though perhaps you are right. It's not been used yet.

The casual section says for me: "You do not have the required permissions to read topics within this forum." :|

@Tom - OK - if you feel that way perhaps we shouldn't have it.

Personally - Casual magic is v.valid and worthy. Most magic played in the world is casual.

The artifact deck i took to fnm a few weeks i would consider casual (abit on the competitive end of casual - it has never quite made tourney grade)
and i would not have a problem if the forum judged it to belong in casual.

Don't regard casual as the bin to chuck your waste.

Sorry I don't think I made myself clear... When I click on the Casual section I get an error message. I have no problem with having or not having a casual section.

"You do not have the required permissions to read topics within this forum." = The error message...

Same issue here tom
admin needs tine to get it finishe though, like assign
mods, set up permissions and stuff. ATM I assume admin as the forum set to admin only for all permissions till it's ready :)

Expect that Graham will get round to it soon. Patience is a virtue when dealing with the great one :-)
